On Sunday night, I started my self intervention to not throw away my trash. Luckily, I planned ahead and meal prepped some Sunday morning. As a result I didn’t throw away a lot on Monday, but found I had still accumulated about a gallon or two worth of plastic snack packages, random papers, and food scraps. Analyzing how much waste I’ve gone through, I’m a little surprised that it wasn’t less given the efforts I took Sunday morning. Furthermore, I’m beginning to critically think how much stuff I just throw away to try and limit the garbage I produce.
