This intervention project was going fairly well for me until I hit Wednesday, when a necessary trip to Panera and also In-n-Out left me with a plastic spoon, cup, and In-n-Out paper trash. I find that eating at home makes it fairly easy to have minimal waste, but coffee and meals out produce a lot of excess packaging. Overall I’m still fairly happy with how the week is going, but I know the weekend will probably leave me with more takeout containers and extra garbage.
