Although I am aware that we live in a very consuming culture, it still shocked me that I had as much trash as I did at the end of the week. In that I was keeping track of what I was throwing away, I assumed that I would have ended up with less trash. However, a few Amazon packages and paper towels later and I had a very full bag of trash. I believe this assignment was extremely worth while and eye opening. I often found myself choosing reusable containers when I would normally use ziplocks. I also noticed how much recyclables I have been throwing away. I now will try to be more aware of the amount of trash that I am producing, as well as shoot to use more sustainable products.
