When I first heard about this assignment I knew it was going to be a challenge because I share a trash can with my roommates. In order to ensure they would not accidentally throw my trash in the dumpster I got another trash bin. Once I got my roommates on board with what I was doing it was easier to keep my trash separate from theirs. I did a lot of shopping this week and noticed how many brown paper bags that I had accumulated throughout the week. Due to the overwhelming number I accumulated I will now buy reusable bags to cut down on paper products. After finishing this assignment, I found that my original prediction about producing a lot of trash was not in line with my end result. I did learn about how I could limit my waste and will attempt to apply this knowledge in the future.
